Getting Started
If you're thinking of having a custom software system built, here's an overview of how we go about it at Amadan Technologies.
- Call us and say Hello. Give us a brief introduction to your business, and tell us what you have in mind. Don't worry if you're not familiar with software - describe your business problem to us and we'll work it out from there. This phone call will probably take about ten or twenty minutes.
- Later we'll work up one or two high-level designs for your new software system. We might want to research a few ideas to see whether they're feasible, so give us a day or two.
- Next we'll visit you at your premises to get better acquainted with you and to present our initial designs. During this meeting we'll try to learn more about your business and understand your requirements in more detail. This meeting will probably take about an hour.
- Over the next few days we'll work out a detailed solution plan. This plan will include an estimated cost. Don't worry - we'll commit to a fixed cost before the project gets underway, but at this stage the cost is just an estimate.
- Together we'll tweak and update the plan to make sure it captures your business requirements and fits your budget. We can do most of this over the phone or by email, but we're always happy to visit you at your premises or in a coffee shop if that seems more useful.
- If you have an IT department then it would be good to get them involved now. In fact, it's never too early to talk with them about your plans.
- Once you're happy with the plan and the proposed cost we'll prepare a more formal proposal, including a firm fixed-price quotation. This proposal will form the basis of our agreement for the project.
- As soon as you approve our proposal, we'll be ready to get started on building your new software system.
